Required Experience:
• Degree in accounting, financial management, mathematics, etc
• No experience required (recent grads welcome)
Desired Experience:
• Experience with complete accounting cycle through FYE closing
• Experience in Government Contracting accounting
• Working knowledge of Quick Books (QB) software
• Ability to create various management reports
• Understand and interpret QB reports
• Excellent communication skills – translate reports for review with management principals
• Experience in Job Costing environment
• Cash Flow Management
The ideal candidate has experience in and will be performing the following:
• Analyzing budget variances and providing detailed explanations
• Prepare quarterly financial statements and perform quarterly financial analysis
• Prepare the annual budget and quarterly budget reports
• Reporting financial results to management
• Preparing and analyzing financial trends
• Reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other GL accounts
• Preparing contract invoices and supporting documentation
• Establishing rapport with customer accounting departments to improve collection of receivables
• Tracking contract funding
• Prepare reports and packages for external auditors
• Entering accounting transactions and journal entries Interpreting FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements
• Create and maintain spreadsheets for the company
• Contract management assistance
• Attend contract meetings
