Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Provides support for hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.Configures and manages LINUX operating system and installs. Creates bash shell scripts to aid in system stability and deployment repeatability. Manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Provides detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers for escalated tickets. Loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components. Provides Tier 2 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides Tier 3 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
Required Experience:
Twelve (12) or more years of bash programming experience; Seven (7) or more years of Perl/Python programming experience; Nine (9) or more years of LINUX (Redhat/CentOS 5 or greater) experience; Knowledge of web technologies (html, xml, Java2E, etc…); Three (3) or more years of experience with virtualization; Three (3) or more years of experience with Puppet 3 or greater.

Cyberspace Workforce Improvement Program (CWIP) IAT, Level 1 required.
Required Education:
Fifteen (15) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Eight (8) additional years of relevant system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
