Work involves reviewing incoming logs and monitors and being able to react based on available information
Experience with Rancher GUI
Experience writing and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Kubernetes and Docker knowledge is useful, as is AWS HCI troubleshooting and monitoring
Day Shift Position:
6:00am - 6:00pm (Thursday thru Saturday and every other Wednesday) (*this is the available shift for this position*)
Twenty (20) years-experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Required Skills:
- Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, SOP development, familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.
Security Plus Certification (or willingness to attain within 6 months)
Experience with RTRG Mission analytics operation and use
- Monitoring OS and Applications
- Troubleshooting OS and Applications and escalating as required
- Troubleshooting dataflow and escalating as required
- Troubleshooting network issue and escalating as required
- Ability to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them to discern correct operations
- Good communications skills written and verbal
- Ability to dissect complex issues and generate concise accurate status
- Generating metrics and reports for submission to customers using disparate data sources
- Generating SOPs for use by the members of the Watch desk and/or customers
- Ability to lead small team of WD shift personnel
- Ability to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammates
- Maintain schedules as required
