The MKB team is seeking a Sr. System Administrator who will be responsible for working with technical team members across four projects and multiple environments (e.g. production, test, development) to ensure all network, and system environmental problems are resolved in a timely manner. The Sr. System Administrator will be responsible for leading and executing various efforts/tasks to include: deploying application updates, monitoring: services, storage capacity, daily process execution, data flows, websites, application and hotfix deployments, managing network resources, performance tuning and applying IAVAs. Other responsibilities include stakeholder and customer support via phone and email, representing the customer for technical issues in meetings and providing briefings on status and technical issues. Once properly trained, this person will assist project technical staff in technical support and design of future project infrastructure. This resource will be part of the team responsible for the overall security and compliance controls for this project including ensuring system and network compliance, maintaining up-to-date system accreditations and appropriate system documentation activities. This person must be a team player and be cohesive with incumbent staff.

MANDATORY SKILLS: Must meet the minimum requirements for the OS Senior System Administrator labor category.
Must have experience with Red Hat OS administration and support.
Experience with Virtual Machine (VM) / MASH environments.
Experience with databases Oracle and Sybase preferred.
Experience with the install, loading, configuration, test and troubleshooting of Solaris, UNIX, Linux operating system software and the various software baselines.
Provide space / storage management and utilization
Configuring and managing and external interfaces
Coordination and communication of all scheduled and emergency outages
Must be able to perform application and infrastructure troubleshooting
Must be able to design and document system processes, build procedures and system infrastructure.

OPTIONAL SKILLS: Familiarity with BLACKWATCH, NIMBLE, OUTERBANKS and
CENTOS
configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting
Ability to configure and maintain network components (firewalls\switches\SAN)
