Specific Tasks/Duties
Perform Linux administration for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x (RHEL 7.x), and Ubuntu 15.0+
Perform system operations, patching, updates, and performance tuning for both production and development environments
Zabbix and automated configuration service and system performance and health monitoring
Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to RHEL 7.x, Java, Tomcat, and PostgreSQL software and services
Perform application and data backup, and recovery
Proficiency Level
Works under consultative direction towards predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of superior.
Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives and affect the image of the organization's technological capability.

RHEL Certified
Security+ Certified
NSYS Certified
AWS Certified
Experience with Zabbix setup and customization
Experience with STIGs
Experience with RMF
Expereince hardening RHEL 7.x
Expereince with Nessus
Expereince with Bash Scrpting
Expereince with Tomcat install, configuration, and monitoring
Experience with Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Crowd)
Expereince setting-up/managing a development environment (patches, backups, etc)
Expereince with SSL, PKI, and TLS
Expereince with IPTables
Familiarity with DISA Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC)
Expereince with MS Windows
Self-motivated and strong attention to detail
Excellent documentation skills are a must

OPTIONAL SKILLS: Experience with Docker
