Provide Mission support within the Operations team of 12 and a large software development project. The four person Mission support team members need to be able to multitask and reprioritize their work at a moments notice. Duties will include writing complex SQL queries, working with customers to reconfigure the system to meet mission goals, and investigating problems that the Help Desk is unable to resolve. The entire operations team is required to work core hours and support occasional weekend and after hours deployment, upgrades and troubleshooting as needed due to the importance of the mission.

MANDATORY SKILLS: 10 years experience in maintaining, and supporting production applications environments that are built on Linux, Windows, and SQL
signals processing Experience at least 5 years of direct experience in the
Customer support experience with analyst
Experience in working within a team of engineers in the support of critical mission applications
Review mission performance to ensure proper execution of the mission
Establishing, clarifying, and maintaining mission objectives and priorities
Track, coordinate, and adjudicate all issues affecting the success of the mission
Work with the helpdesk personnel and developers to maintain the operational readiness of the systems
Coordinate with system providers to ensure that service level agreements are meeting the need of the mission
Solid documentation skills a must
Fourteen (14) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
Coordinate with software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met
Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints; Perform quality control on team products
Oversees one or more software development teams and ensures the work is being completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project
Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project
Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas
Write or review software and system documentation
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
Make recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

OPTIONAL SKILLS: Experience with JIRA
Experience with MongDB, Oracle
Agile/Scrum methodology a plus
